Ticks

Ticks are small arachnids and, along with mites, live on the blood of animals mostly mammals, birds, some reptiles and other amphibians. They are widely present around the world but are predominantly present in warm countries with humid climates since they need a certain amount of moisture to complete their metamorphosis. Ticks find their hosts by detecting their breaths and body odors. They can also sense body heat, moisture, and vibration.

Ticks are carriers and vectors of a number of diseases that cause harm to both humans and animals. As they are feeding on blood, they extract it by cutting a hole in the hosts’ epidermis and inserting a body part called hypostome, then prevent the blood from clotting by excreting an anticoagulant. Tick-borne illnesses are caused by infection with a variety of pathogens. Because they can harbor more than one disease-causing agent at a time, patients can be infected with more than one pathogen at the same time, causing diagnosis and treatment to be more difficult. Ticks can be difficult to remove as mechanical removal may result to squeezing the content of the tick into the bloodstream.

So to prevent ticks from invading and infesting our homes and facilities, it is best to control them before they get there or get worse. Venom Pest Control offers methods that will eradicate ticks using technology and substances that are not only of high-quality but at the same time eco-friendly. This way, we are not only protecting ourselves but Mother Nature as well.
